Our founder, Tommy Boze, grew up doing things. Whether it was farming, driving a Coca-Cola truck, or logging, he was always “doing” something.
In 2004, he was “doing” something again. He saw a need for business sign and parking lot light service. This need meant purchasing a bucket truck so he bought one.
The next morning, he found himself “doing” something else. There was a pressing need for tree removal after severe storms tore through Gallatin: roads were blocked, trees were on driveways, and powerlines were down.
Tommy called his son, Patrick, to help him “do” something for people who needed some help. Patrick and Tommy spent the next several days “doing” things for people in need.
They quickly came to the realization that a business may have fallen into their path. A trip to Knoxville to purchase a chipper and a chip truck solidified their plan. Boze’s Bucket Works was born.
A little later that year, they ventured to Canada to purchase a knuckle boom loader.
Tommy’s commercial logging experience made him a natural at falling and pruning trees residentially. Over the next decade, he taught Patrick his finely-honed skills before stepping away into retirement.
Throughout our years, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to “doing” things the right way and the safe way.
